You See:
A petite brunette, 5'6 or so, with a curvy body, strong arms, and cheeks that dimple when she smiles. Her hair will start the day straight, but tends to break into waves when it's humid or particularly magical; not a particularly attractive wave, either, tending to frizz. Her eyes are brown and do not, contrary to narrative convention, 'look old' (unless viewed by magical means, in which case the viewer is likely to see the shadow of a completely different woman-- taller and whipcord muscled, with long gray hair, harsh lines across her face, and piercing eyes.)
What Happened:
Captain Anastasia Luccio of the Wardens of the White Council was beating down a necromancer's zombie uprising when she had the misfortune to run into a warlock called Capiorcorpus-- the Corpse Taker. The Corpsetaker's MO was to hop bodies, kicking their previous occupants into its old body (and then killing said old body for good measure). Luccio was an obvious target, having a place of power with the White Council. Harry Dresden caught the switch, killed the Corpsetaker in Luccio's old body, and Luccio's new body survived. The upshot of this shell game is that a grizzled war veteran was shoved from her old body into an adorable little brunette body and can't go back. She's thrilled. And loving being in her mid twenties again*.
*This is not just a lie, it is a damned lie.
Anastasia Is:
Nearly 240, at least mentally. Her physical body is in its mid twenties. She is mature, cynical, and pragmatic. She is somewhat bemused at constantly looking adorable, and irritated by the treatment it tends to get from others. Her lingering self-image, from the body she had before the Corpsetaker stole it, looks more like this-- though a bit more sun-beaten and wiry.
